Principle of ultrasonic water level meters

Ultrasonic water level sensors work on a principle similar to the radar system but the waves, in this case, are ultrasonic waves. These waves sent by a ultrasonic transmitter strike the water in the tank and because of the higher density of water then these waves, they bounce back. The traveling time of these waves from the transceiver to the water level and then back to the transceiver is sensed and detected as water level.

2- The ability to filter false echo.
3- High accuracy with a wide range of temperature compensation.
4- Don’t get affected by the physical characters of fluid-like color or shape.

6-Electronic water level transmitters with 4-20mA output, option with HART,MODBUS or Profibus-DP

Applications of ultrasonic water level sensors

As already mentioned that these water level meters are not affected by the physical characters of water thus they can be used to measure tap water, saline water, sewage, wastewater and other types of water. Therefore these level measurement sensors find their application in wastewater management, groundwater level measurement, water well drilling, and management and many other commercial industries.
