How to do Electromagnetic Flowmeter Zero-Point Correction ?
Why we need magmeter Zero-Point Correction?
Electromagnetic flowmeter zero-point correction ensures accurate measurement by eliminating drift caused by installation, fluid properties, or environmental factors. Proper correction prevents false readings when no flow is present, improving measurement reliability and system performance.
How we do magnetic flow meter zero point correction?
Here is a procedure to tell you how to do magnetic flow meter zero point correction on SHD series magnetic flow meter which is from reliable magnetic flow meter supplier silverinstruments.com
As shown in Figure Main interface
The first row is the instantaneous flow rate,
the second row is the unit
and the third row is the forward total flow.
Operation of the buttons: into parameter setting Cursor left shift
Cursor right shift
Into parameter set display
Into password setting
Password is 19818
Then into below disply
Find the Flow zero display
Press the “Confirm” button to enter the current flow correction, as shown in below
When performing zero-point correction, ensure that the magflow sensor pipe is fully filled with fluid and that the fluid is in a static state. The flow zero point is expressed in flow velocity, with a unit of mm/s.
• The first row displays: FS, representing the instrument’s zero-point measurement value.
• The second row displays: Flow velocity zero-point correction value.
If the FS value is not “0,” adjust the correction value to make FS = 0.
Note: If modifying the lower correction value causes the FS value to increase, adjust the sign (positive/negative) of the lower value to ensure that FS is corrected to zero.
Here is a video to show to you how to operate.
