Silos are the large containers used for bulk storage. The level measurement of bulk solids like grains, coal, cement sawdust, food products, and other solids is possible only with silo radar level transmitters.

Principle

These level transmitters use the same basic principle of radar technology making use of radio waves. The silo top is used for the installation of the sensor. The waves generated to strike the bulk material and return back to the sensor which calculates the level by measuring the echo time.
