Compound Pressure Gauge Overview

A compound gauge is a device that can display both positive and negative (vacuum) pressures (vacuum and pressure gauge). You need to use a compound Pressure Gauge when you are measuring a system that is exerting both positive and negative pressure on the gauge.

Theory of Compound Pressure Gauge

SILVER AUTOMATION INSTRUMENTS Pressure gauge is consisted of tapping system (including connections, bourdon tube, block), movement, indication (pointer and dial) and housing (case, window and glass). The housing is splash-proof type to prevent dirty into movement. The oil filled pressure gauge (normally silicon oil) is anti strong vibration from working environment and can also decrease the ripple effect from the medium. Pressure Gauges are constructed with a bourdon tube sensing element. When the sensing element is subjected to pressure, it flexes and the resulting motion is transmitted as a measurement through a mechanical movement to the dial face pointer.
